You can manage your password, turn on Face ID and set up 2 Factor-Authentication (2FA) for added security within the Employment Hero Work app.
Important
2FA helps protect your Employment Hero Work account from unauthorised access and keeps your personal information safe. You may need to set up 2FA to view sensitive data, such as pay information.This article explains how to:
- Reset your password
- Turn on Face ID or fingerprint login
- Turn on Passkey login
- Turn on 2FA
- Log in and out
Reset my password
- Open the Employment Hero Work app.
- Tap on Reset Password.
- Tap on the HRIS/Employment Hero Work Jobs button.
Helpful Hint
If you are not sure what type of account you have, tap on What is my account type? at the bottom of the screen to read an explanation.
- This will open a browser within Employment Hero Work to enter your email address. Once you have entered your email address and completed the reCAPTCHA, tap on Request Link.
- A reset password link will be sent to your registered email address. Follow the instructions in the email to complete the reset of your password.
Turn on and off Face ID or fingerprint login
Turn on Face ID or fingerprint login
Turn on Face ID to use the front camera on your phone to unlock your Employment Hero Work app.
- Log into the Employment Hero Work app.
- Tap on your profile picture or initials in the top right-hand corner of the screen.
- Tap on Settings.
- Tap on Security.
- Tap the Face ID (for iOS users) or Fingerprint (for Android users) toggle switch. The toggle must be switched to the right to be turned on.
- Enter your passcode.
- You will receive a notification that your biometric login has been turned on.
Turn off Face ID or fingerprint login
- Log into Employment Hero Work.
- Tap on your profile picture or initials in the top right-hand corner of the screen.
- Tap on Settings.
- Tap on Security.
- Tap the Face ID (for iOS users) or Fingerprint (for Android users) toggle switch. The toggle must be switched to the left to be turned off.
- Enter your passcode.
- You will receive a notification that your biometric login has been turned off.
Turn on and off Passkey login
Turn on Passkey login (and log in with a passkey)
Turn on Passkeys for your phone to log in easily into the Employment Hero Work app.
- Log into the Employment Hero Work app.
- Tap on your profile picture or initials in the top right-hand corner of the screen.
- Tap on Settings.
- Tap on Security.
- Tap Passkeys.
- Click Continue when prompted. You will see a green notification banner at the bottom of your screen indicating that your passkey login has been turned on.
- You can use the passkey when logging in by tapping the Log in with a Passkey button.
Turn off Passkey login
- Log into the Employment Hero Work app.
- Tap on your profile picture or initials in the top right-hand corner of the screen.
- Tap on Settings.
- Tap on Security.
- Tap Passkeys.
- Tap the delete icon for the passkey you want to disable.
- Enter your password to delete the passkey, then tap the Confirm button. This will disable login for that passkey.
Turn on 2FA
Turn on 2FA using an Authenticator app
- Log into the Employment Hero Work app.
- Tap on your profile picture or initials in the top right-hand corner of the screen.
- Tap on Settings.
- Tap on Security.
- Tap Two-Factor Authentication.
- Tap Authenticator App.

Copy the Key and add this to your chosen Authenticator app, such as Google Authenticator, following their instructions.
- Once the key has been added, you will get a code that changes regularly. Type the code you see into Employment Hero Work to confirm the Authenticator app is set up correctly.
- You will now see 'On' written next to Two Factor Authenticator.
- You can use one form of 2FA or add another by following the instructions in the How do I turn on 2FA using SMS? section.
Turn on 2FA using SMS
- Log into the Employment Hero Work app.
- Tap on your profile picture or initials in the top right-hand corner of the screen.
- Tap on Settings.
- Tap on Security.
- Tap Two-Factor Authentication.
- Tap SMS Authentication.
- Enter your country and phone number. Click Continue.
- Enter the code you receive via SMS.
- You will now see 'On' written next to Two Factor Authenticator.
- You can use one form of 2FA or add another by following the instructions in the How do I turn on 2FA using SMS? section.
Log in and out
How do I log in for the first time?
- Open your Employment Hero Work app.
- Enter your email address and password.
- Tap the Log In button.
- If you have 2-factor authentication turned on, enter your code into the Code field.
- Choose whether to select the Remember this Device for 45 Days tick box.
- Tap the Verify button.
- Enter your passcode.
- Re-enter your passcode.
- Once you have logged in, you will be shown the Employment Hero Work home screen.
How do I log out?
- Log into the Employment Hero Work app.
- Tap on your profile picture or initials in the top right-hand corner of the screen.
- Tap the Log Out button at the bottom of the screen.
Log in with another Employment Hero Work account
- Log into your Employment Hero Work app.
- Tap on your profile picture or initials in the top right-hand corner of the screen.
- Tap the Add Account button.
- Enter the email address and password and tap the Log In button.
- If you have 2-factor authentication turned on, enter your code into the Code field.
- Choose whether to select the Remember this Device for 45 Days tick box.
- Tap the Verify button.
- Enter your Employment Hero Work passcode.
- Re-enter your passcode.
