Purchasing and managing your organisation's Hero Points via the HR Platform

Recognition is a way for employers to reward and recognise their employees when they go above and beyond the expectations of their role. The platform links each employee recognition to one of your nominated company values. So each nomination is an opportunity to recognise your employees for their performance and showcase your Company Values. Employers can also reward their employees with Hero Points for milestones reached like work anniversaries or birthdays.

The Hero Points feature allows you to purchase Hero Points that will enable you to use the platform's recognition and reward features, with the purchase receipt emailed to you. This feature also allows you to view your organisation's Hero Points balance and view the transactions that users in your organisation have made on the platform.

HR Plan: Free Standard Premium Platinum
User Access:   Employee         Manager         Admin      

  We base the default access level on a per user basis and whether they have  view,  edit and  delete access and excluding any changes made via our Custom Security feature.

Daily activities

Purchase Hero Points
  1. Click the   Benefits menu.
  2. Click the Points Management submenu.
  3. Click the   Purchase Hero Points button.

    Warning

    When you click on Purchase Hero Points, a list of employees who may incur a fringe benefits tax (FBT) will display. Please be aware of the FBT that you may be subject to.

  4. Complete the Top-up Amount field.
  5. Click the Next button.

  6. Enter your card details into the relevant fields.
  7. Click the Next button.

  8. Review your details and then click the Complete Order button.

Report on Hero Points distributed
  1. Click the   Benefits menu.
  2. Click the Hero Points Management submenu.
  3. Click the View Employee Activity button.

  4. You will see a report on the Hero Points distributed and whether you still fall within the FBT-exempt guidelines for a given FBT year.

Send Hero Points

Important

The platform does not automatically send email notifications to ‌recipients when issuing Hero Points using this feature. If you wish to inform the employee about their Hero Points allocation, you must do so outside the platform by sending them a separate notification.

  1. Click the   Benefits menu.
  2. Click the Hero Points Management submenu.
  3. Click the Send Hero Points button.

  4. Enter the employee's name into the Search Bar field.

  5. Enter the how many points you would like to send.

  6. Add a description of why you are sending Hero Points.

    Important

    Employees can only see the description you entered within the Swag app‌. They can not see it on the HR web platform.

  7. Click the Submit button.

    Warning

    Once you award Hero Points to an employee, you can not reverse the transaction.

View your Hero Points balance
  1. Click the   Benefits menu.
  2. Click the Hero Points Management submenu.

    Helpful Hint

    You will now see your Hero Points balance on your screen.
