Employment agreements

Overview

The advantage of employment agreements is that it combines rule sets, leave allowance templates and pay rate templates. Also, pay increases will happen automatically on employee birthdays and/or anniversary dates for employees assigned an employment agreement.

The employment agreements feature allows you to add customised agreements, edit award components and delete your own customised agreements along with any non-required pre-built award component.

Getting started

Adding a customised agreement
  1. Click the Business Settings menu.
  2. Click the Payroll Settings submenu.
  3. Click the Employment Agreements button.
  4. Click the Add a Custom Agreement button.

  5. Complete the following fields:
    • Classification.
    • Rank.
    • Employment type.
    • Pay conditions.
    • Leave allowance templates.
    • Pay rate templates based on.
      • Date of birth.
      • Anniversary date (in years).
      • Anniversary date (in months).
      • Date of birth and anniversary date (in months).
  6. Click the Save button.

Maintain

Editing an award component
  1. Click the Business Settings menu.
  2. Click the Payroll Settings submenu.
  3. Click the Employment Agreements button.
  4. Click the on the award that needs editing.

  6. Make the required changes and click the Save button.
Editing your agreements
  1. Click the Business Settings menu.
  2. Click the Payroll Settings submenu.
  3. Click the Employment Agreements button.
  4. Click on your agreements drop-down button.

  5. Click on the agreement that needs editing.

  6. Make the required changes and click the Save button.
Deleting an award component
  1. Click the Business Settings menu.
  2. Click the Payroll Settings submenu.
  3. Click the Employment Agreements button.
  4. Click the on the award that needs deleting.

Important

If you are integrated with the Employment Hero HR platform, ensure that you go to Settings > Payroll Settings > Classifications > Update From Payroll.
This is a crucial step to ensure that your changes in payroll sync to Employment Hero HR.
