Manage update event client authority submissions on payroll classic

This feature allows you to submit an update event for client approval and then either approve or decline said submission. You will need to have selected the Tax/BAS Agents ATO Lodgement option via the ATO Settings page first, before you can use this feature. You will also need to have created an update event before you can use this feature. To read further details on how to create a update event, refer to the following guide.

Getting started

The below premises will walk you through how to request client authority for an update event, and how to approve and/or decline these submissions.

Request client authority
  1. Log into your Employment Hero Payroll classic platform.
  2. Click the   Report menu.
  3. Click the Single Touch Payroll submenu.

  4. Click the update event that needs client authority requested

  5. Click the Actions   button.
  6. Click the Request Client Authority button.

  7. Select the user who will review this update event.
  8. Enter any required notes.
  9. Click the Submit Request button.

Approve an update event
  1. Log into your Employment Hero Payroll classic platform.
  2. Click the   Report menu.
  3. Click the Single Touch Payroll submenu.

  4. Click the update event that needs approving.

  5. Click the Approve Lodgement button.

  6. Select the I Acknowledge the Terms and Conditions tick box.
  7. Click the Approve Update Event button.

Decline an update event
  1. Log into your Employment Hero Payroll classic platform.
  2. Click the   Report menu.
  3. Click the Single Touch Payroll submenu.

  4. Click the update event that needs declining.

  5. Click the Reject Lodgement button.

  6. Enter the reason for rejecting the lodgement.
  7. Click the Reject Update Event button.

View approver details
  1. Log into your Employment Hero Payroll classic platform.
  2. Click the   Report menu.
  3. Click the Single Touch Payroll submenu.

  4. Select the update event that needs approver details viewed.

  5. Click the Approver Details tab.

    You will now see your update event approver details on your screen.
