Integrate with Lightspeed Restaurant (O-series) POS on Payroll classic

The Lightspeed Restaurant (O-series) Point of Sale (POS) timesheet integration seamlessly connects your POS platform with Payroll classic platform. It simplifies importing clock-in and clock-out data, ensuring employee timesheets are accurately synced with your Payroll classic platform. While Lightspeed doesn’t support location-based wage tracking, the Payroll classic platform serves as the source of truth for this functionality.

To start, enable the Time and Attendance add-on in your Lightspeed POS. For step-by-step instructions, refer to this article.

This integration reduces administrative tasks and improves the accuracy of timesheet data.

 

Important

When importing timesheets from your Lightspeed POS platform, your employee and location data within your Payroll classic platform must match the data imported from your Kounta platform. We recommend you use the Import Employees feature to make sure a matching employee and location date between the two platforms.

Warning

Timesheets will only flow from Employment Hero to your Payroll classic platform; this data connection is not bidirectional. Timesheet submissions in the payroll platform will not flow to Employment Hero. We advise you to submit any timesheet via the Employment Hero's Timesheet feature.

Getting started

Connect to Lightspeed POS
  1. Log into your Payroll classic platform.
  2. Click the   Business Settings menu.
  3. Click the Payroll Settings submenu.
  4. Click the   Integrations button.
  5. Click the Add button.

  6. Click the Connect to Lightspeed button.

  7. Select the desired company and click the Grant Access button.

    Helpful Hint

    You will now see a success status message on your Integrations page.

Data management

Import Lightspeed POS timesheets
  1. Click the Timesheet menu.
  2. Click the Import Timesheets submenu.
  3. Select the Lightspeed POS option in the Import Timesheets drop-down.
  4. Complete the following fields:
    • Data range.
    • Approve timesheets.

    Helpful Hint

    The Approve Timesheets option allows you to choose whether the platform automatically approves the timesheets being imported or whether they need to go through your organisation's timesheet approval workflow.

  5. Click the Import button.

    Helpful Hint

    You will now see on your screen a status message showing the successful uploading of your selected Lightspeed POS timesheets into the Payroll classic platform.

Removing data

Disconnect from Lightspeed Kounta POS
  1. Log into your Payroll classic platform.
  2. Click the   Business Settings menu.
  3. Click the Payroll Settings submenu.
  4. Click the   Integrations button.
  5. Click the   Disable button.
