The timesheet integration feature connects your Payroll classic platform to Deputy Enterprise, allowing you to import timesheets directly. It offers the option to require timesheet approval on the Payroll classic platform before they are applied to an employee's pay run.
To ensure a smooth import process, it is crucial that the employee and location data in your Payroll classic platform match those in your Deputy Enterprise platform. Using the Import Employees feature is recommended to synchronise data between both platforms effectively.
Warning
Timesheets will only flow from the Employment Hero platform to your Payroll classic platform. In other words, this data connection is not bidirectional, and any timesheet submissions made in the Payroll classic platform will not flow through to your Employment Hero platform. We advise you to submit any timesheet via the Employment Hero platform's Timesheet feature.
Getting started
- Log into your Payroll classic platform.
- Click the Business Settings menu.
- Click the Payroll Settings submenu.
- Click the Integrations button.
- Click the Add button.
- Click the Connect to Deputy button.
- Log into your Deputy platform
- Select your Deputy business that needs integrating with EH Payroll.
- Click the Allow Access button.
Managing data
- Click the Employee menu.
- Click the Import Employees submenu.
- Select the Deputy option in the Import Employees drop-down.
- Select a Deputy Pay Centre to import employees from.
- Click the Import button.
Helpful Hint
You will now see on your screen a status message showing the successful uploading of your selected Deputy employees into your payroll platform.
- Click the Timesheet menu.
- Click the Import Timesheets submenu.
- Select the Deputy option in the Import Timesheets drop-down.
- Complete the following fields:
- Deputy Pay Centre
- Date range.
- Approve timesheets.
Helpful Hint
The Approve Timesheets option allows you to choose whether the platform automatically approves the timesheets when imported or whether they need to go through your organisation's timesheet approval workflow.
- Click the Import button.
Helpful Hint
You will now see on your screen a status message showing the successful upload of your selected Deputy timesheets into the Payroll classic platform.
