How do I delete a Pay Run?

Answer

You can use the Delete feature to remove a Pay Run you created in error. You will need to undertake the below steps via your Employment Hero Payroll platform.

Warning

Once automated super payments have been made or STP has been lodged for a pay run, it cannot be unlocked or deleted.

Deleting a Pay Run
  1. Log in to your Employment Hero Payroll platform.
  2. Click the   Pay Run menu.
  3. Click the Pay Run that needs deleting.

  • This is incorrect.

    Once payroll has been submitted to ATO it cannot be deleted.

    This is a recent( I found it yesterday ) change.

    This is an employment hero change.

    The ATO allows for multiple submissions.

    If you find an error after submission to ATO, but before payment, you could (previously) delete the pay run.

    This is not possible now. This is not satisfactory.

    There are two situations in which a pay run cannot be deleted:

    1. Once automated super payments have been made.
    2. Once STP has been lodged.

    As this is the platform's default behaviour, the above article has been updated to reflect these situations.
