Set up a Clock Me In kiosk

Available for the following Payroll plan: Premium, Core Payroll, Unlimited+Payroll
Available for the following user access levels: Admin 

You can set up a time and attendance kiosk using Clock Me In, an iPad app available from Apple’s App Store. This allows employees to clock in and out on a shared iPad, creating timesheets without needing to use their own personal devices.

When setting up the kiosk, you can choose the name, location, time zone, and whether a photo is required when employees clock in or out. You can also edit or delete a kiosk later if your setup changes.

This option is best suited to organisations that operate from one or a small number of locations where employees attend work in person each day.

Getting started

This section explains how you can add a new kiosk for your employees to use via the iPad app, which you can download here at Apple's App Store.

Add a kiosk

Important

Adding, editing, deleting and using a Clock Me In kiosk will require WiFi, as the kiosk does not work offline.

  1. Log into your Employment Hero Payroll classic platform. 
  2. Click the   Business Settings menu.
  3. Click the Payroll Settings submenu.
  4. Click the   Time and Attendance button.
  5. Click the Kiosk Management tab.
  6. Click the Add Kiosk button.

  7. Complete the following fields:
    • Name
    • Location
    • Time zone
    • Allow employees to select a higher classification when clocking on
    • Restrict employees to approved locations only
    • Make kiosk available to all restricted users with clock me in access
    • Capture photo when clock on/off
    • Allow employees to apply rostered start/finish times when clocking on/off
  8. Click the Save button.

This premise will explain how you can edit and delete a kiosk if your organisational needs change.

Edit a kiosk
  1. Log into your Employment Hero Payroll classic platform.
  2. Click the   Business Settings menu.
  3. Click the Payroll Settings submenu.
  4. Click the   Time and Attendance button.
  5. Click the Kiosk Management tab.
  6. Click the kiosk that needs to be edited.

  7. Make the required changes and click the Save button.

Delete a kiosk
  1. Log into your Employment Hero Payroll platform.
  2. Click the   Business Settings menu.
  3. Click the Payroll Settings submenu.
  4. Click the   Time and Attendance button.
  5. Click the Kiosk Management tab.
  6. Click the   button.
