Question
How do I apply a superannuation rate rise?
Answer
Superannuation rates will increase up to 12% in 0.5% increments per year until 2025. Super rates do not automatically update on Employment Hero. Updates made in Employment Hero are for record-keeping purposes only for permanent employees paid per annum, as this does not apply to casual employees and it will not sync over to your Payroll classic platform.
- Click the People menu
- Click the Import Employees submenu.
- Download the relevant Update Employees/Users Pay Details template.
- De-select the Exclude Terminated Employees tick box.
- Click the Download button.
- Under the Superannuation column, update the super rate for the relevant employees.
- Under the Pay Details - Effective from [dd/mm/yyyy] column, update the effective date for the relevant employees.
- Choose what columns in the CSV file to map to what field in the HR platform.
- Save the spreadsheet changes as a CSV file.
- Click the Personnel menu
- Click the Import Employees menu.
- Click or drag the desired file onto the Upload tile.
- Click the Yes button.
- Choose what columns in the CSV file to map to what field in the HR platform.
- Click the Continue button.
Helpful Hint
You will now see the Imported Successfully page, where you can see the number of employee records created or updated. You can also click the Go to Employee Page button to view the new or updated employee records.
