Set up and manage your Reckon accounting export file on Payroll classic

A journal file export service is a tool that allows you to select the accounting software file export that matches your accounting platform's requirements, so that you can capture journal entries in your chart of accounts. If you use Reckon for your accounting software and journal service, and Employment Hero for your payroll, you would simply select the Reckon Accounting file option on your Employment Hero Payroll classic platform via the Journal Service feature.

After selecting the Reckon export file option and setting up your chart of accounts, you can download your payroll journal data from a finalised a pay run and upload into your Reckon platform. We also format the export file data to reflect automatically your Reckon reporting layouts, reducing the work needed on your end to upload your data onto your Reckon platform.

  1. Log into your Employment Hero Payroll classic platform.
  2. Click the   Business Settings menu.
  3. Click the Payroll Settings submenu.
  4. Click the   Integrations button.
  5. Locate the Reckon logo and click the Add button.
