Rolled-up holiday pay for irregular/casual workers in Employment Hero

Available for the following EmploymentOS plans: Employment Lite, Employment Plus, Employment Unlimited
Available for the following user access levels: Admin

For your irregular-hours workers, rolled-up/rolling holiday pay (RHP) can be managed from within Employment Hero. 

 


 

Getting started

Set RHP for your irregular/casual employees
  1. Log in to Employment Hero. 
  2. On the left-hand side navigation menu, click on People.
  3. Click on Employees List.
  4. Click on the employee to whom you want to assign RHP.
  5. On the Pay & Compensation tile, click on the downward-facing arrow in Salary History.

  6. Click on the 3 dots.

  7. Click on Edit.

  8. Toggle on Employee is paid irregularly. The toggle switch will appear purple when the switch is toggled on.

  9. Tick Apply rolled-up holiday pay.

  10. Select the Holiday pay percentage. By default, this will appear as 12.07%. This figure is based on the statutory minimum holiday entitlement (5.6 weeks).
  11. Fill in the remaining details:
    • Pay category
    • Pay schedule
    • NMW / NLW Eligibility
    • Apprentice
    • Reason for change
    • Comments (optional).
  12. Click on Save.

Helpful Hint

If you receive a warning message about the employee's pay category not supporting RHP, you can either contact your payroll admin to enable RHP for that pay category, or change the pay category to one that supports RHP.
