Build a tenure and termination report

Available for the following plans: Plus, Unlimited, Engage, Elite, Unlimited HR and Payroll
Available for the following HR plans: Premium, Platinum
Available for the following user access levels: Admin 


 

You can monitor the tenure and termination reasons of your employees by building a custom report in Employment Hero. Before being able to use the Custom Reports feature, you will just need to activate Two-Factor Authentication. To read further information on how to activate Two-Factor Authentication, refer to the following article.

You can use the Custom Report feature to construct a report on the tenure and termination options chosen by your employees during their onboarding workflow or when they have edited their personal details.

Build a tenure report
  1. Click the   Reports menu.
  2. Click the Other reports tab.
  3. Click the Custom Report box. 
  4. Click the Create New Report button. 
  5. Enter “tenure report” in the Report name field.
  6. Enter what this report will cover in the Description field.
  7. Include or exclude terminated employees in the report.
  8. Select Create my own from the Report Type drop-down.
  9. Enter Tenure into the Search field.
  10. Drag the tenure field from the Available list to the Selected list.
  11. Click the Create button.

    Helpful Hint

    You will now see your tenure and termination report on your screen. To read more information on how to edit, download, and delete a custom report, refer to the following article. 

Build a termination report
  1. Click the   Reports menu.
  2. Click the Other reports tab.
  3. Click the Custom Report box. 
  4. Click the Create New Report button. 
  5. Enter “termination Report” in the Report name field.
  6. Enter what this report will cover in the Description field.
  7. Include or exclude terminated employees in the report.
  8. Select Create my own from the Report Type drop-down.
  9. Enter Termination into the Search field.
  10. Select from the following termination options:
    • Termination
    • Termination date
    • Termination type
    • Termination reason
    • Termination comment
    • Days since termination
    • Months since termination
    • Years since termination
  11. Click the Create button.

Helpful Hint

You can combine the tenure option and the termination options into the same report for a more comprehensive look at the data. These do not need to be separate reports.
