We are making changes to how Requisitions, Onboarding Approvals, and Employee Files Changes and approvals are supported in Employment Hero. The legacy features currently available on the Premium subscription will be sunset in mid-May 2026.
All features will continue to be supported through our newer, Workflow-based experience, which is part of our broader Workforce Planning and automation platform. This is available to Platinum, Plus, Unlimited and Elite HR subscriptions.

What is changing?
The legacy Requisitions, Onboarding Approvals and Employee Files Change features will be deprecated and removed from the Premium subscription in mid-May 2026.
After this date:
- The legacy requisitions experience will no longer be accessible.
- New requisition approvals cannot be created using the legacy feature.
No immediate action is required today. This change is being communicated well in advance to allow customers time to understand and prepare.
Why is this change happening?
The legacy Requisitions, Onboarding Approvals and Employee Files Changes features were introduced as an early capability to support hiring approvals and employee management. Since then, Employment Hero has significantly expanded its workforce planning and automation platforms.
The newer platform supports:
- Centralised Workflow-based approvals
- Workforce Planning capabilities
- Better visibility across hiring, headcount, and vacancies
- A consistent approval experience across HR processes
To ensure a stable, scalable, and consistent experience, these legacy features are being consolidated into the Workflow engine rather than maintained as separate legacy features.
What does this mean for Premium customers?
- Existing Premium customers can continue using the legacy features until the deprecation date.
- After deprecation, these features will no longer be available on Premium.
- No Requisitions, Onboarding Approvals or Employee Files Changes will be deleted as a result of this change.

What happens to my existing data?
- Until the deprecation date: Existing Premium customers can continue using legacy features.
- After the deprecation date: Legacy features will no longer be accessible on Premium plans.

If you upgrade to either Platinum, Plus, Unlimited or Elite HR subscriptions: Your existing data will be retained and accessible, including:
- All historical requisitions.
- Approval history and audit logs.
- In-progress requisitions.
- Existing workflow configurations.
