See who edited or changed an employee's HR file

You can use the Audit Trail feature within an employee's file to view a change log of what data modifications occurred to that specific employee's record on the HR platform. This feature also allows you to view the details of each update, giving you even greater granular details on the changes undertaken and by whom.

Important

Companies with a basic subscription cannot see the Employee File Audit Log. They can see the Audit Trail Report in the Reports module.

How to see an employee's audit trail

Important

To view the audit trail for all your employees at once, you will need to create an Audit Trail report. To read further details on how to create an Audit Trail report, refer to the following article.

  1. Click the   People menu.
  2. Click the Employees List submenu.
  3. Select the employee that needs their audit trail viewed.
  4. Click the Audit trail tab.
  5. Click the View Details button.

The employee audit trail can show you who did the following actions and when they did them:
Module. Audited Action.
Personnel. Activated a membership.
Re-actived membership.
Off-boarded an employee.
On-Boarded an employee.
Deleted an employee.
Updated manager (Primary and/or Secondary).
Updated location.
Updated team.
Leave request. Updated a leave request.
