New Settings Look & Feel

The Settings page on the Employment Hero platform has been updated to a new user interface. This change affects where certain settings appear and the steps you take.

  • Organisations created after 15 May 2025 automatically see this new page.
  • Older organisations created before 15 May 2025 can turn the new Settings UI change on. To do this, click the beta flask icon beside the notification bell icon at the top right part of your screen. Click the on switch for "New Settings Look & Feel." This new look will automatically be turned on for everyone on 12 November 2025.

You can add locations to the Employment Hero platform from anywhere in the world. When you include a location from a supported region, such as the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, or Singapore, Employment Hero automatically populates employees' profiles with relevant country-specific features. Setting up locations also enables you to link employees to location-specific public holiday calendars, ensuring accurate leave management.

Getting started

Add a new location
  1. Click the Settings menu.
  2. In the Company section, click Locations.
  3. Click the Add New Location button.
  4. Complete the following fields:
    • Name.
    • Country.
    • Description.
  5. Select Yes or No for the Set this location as the default location for new employees toggle switch.

    Helpful Hint

    If you have more than one default work location, you can turn on this setting to make all new employees part of that location by default.

  6. Click the Submit button.

Managing locations

Edit a location
  1. Click the Settings menu.
  2. In the Company section, click Locations.
  3. Click the ... button.
  4. Click the Edit button.
  5. Make the required changes and click the Submit button.
Disable a location

Important

The disabling a location feature is only available when a location is in use by an active employee.

  1. Click the Settings menu.
  2. In the Company section, click Locations.
  3. Click the ... button.
  4. Click the Disable button.
Delete a location

Important

The deleting a location feature is only available when a location is not in use by an active employee.

  1. Click the Settings menu.
  2. In the Company section, click Locations.
  3. Click the ... button.
  4. Click the Delete button. 
  5. Click Confirm on the confirmation popup.
