Manage roster unavailability

Available for the following HR classic Plan: Platinum
Available for the following User Access levels: Employee, Manager, Admin    

Rostering Management lets you add, allocate, delete, publish, and unpublish a shift. You can also create roster templates, filter rosters by cost centre or employee, and switch to daily, weekly, and fortnightly views. Employees will be able to see their shifts in Employment Hero Work, as Rostering Management is fully integrated with the Employment Hero Work app. They will also get an email notification each time you publish a shift assigned to them.

Important

Aside from admins, employees and managers may use the Rostering Management feature if they are given access via Custom Security Settings. In addition, organisations connected to ‌payroll software (except ‌KeyPay) may now use this feature.

Getting started

Add unavailability
  1. Click the  Time menu.
  2. Click the Rostering Management submenu.
  3. Click the Roster Actions button.
  4. Click the View Employees button.

  5. Click the employee that needs unavailability added.

  6. Click the Add button.

  7. Complete the following fields:
    1. On the x date
    2. Until x date.
    3. All day.
    4. On an ongoing basis.
    5. Note.
  8. Click the Save button.

Edit data

Edit unavailability
  1. Click the  Time menu.
  2. Click the Rostering Management submenu.
  3. Click the Roster Actions button.
  4. Click the View Employees button.

  5. Click the employee that needs unavailability edited.

  6. Click the Three Dots button.
  7. Click the Edit button.

  8. Make the required changes and click the Save button.

Deleting data

Delete unavailability
  1. Click the  Time menu.
  2. Click the Rostering Management submenu.
  3. Click the Roster Actions button.
  4. Click the View Employees button.

  5. Click the employee that needs unavailability deleted.

  6. Click the Three Dots button.
  7. Click the Delete button.

  8. Make the required changes and click the Delete button.
