Manage Pay Rate Templates (PRTs)

Available for the following plans: Employment Lite, Employment Plus, Employment Unlimited
Available for the following user access levels: Manager, Admin

Pay Rate Templates (PRTs) allow you to standardise employee pay rates in Employment Hero and payroll.

Important

Updates to PRTs from Payroll to Employment Hero are now automated, so there is no need to manually sync them. However, if the automation fails, you can also manually update.

Updates should be automatic. However, if automated updates fail, you can manually update a PRT by following these steps:

      1. Log into Employment Hero.
    1. Click on the Settings option on the left-hand side menu.

    2. Click on Add-ons.

    3. Click on Action > Update > Pay Items.

    4. Click on Update From Payroll next to Pay Items.

Add a PRT to a salary version
  1. Log into Employment Hero.
  2. Click on People on the left-hand side menu.
  3. Click on Employees List. 
  4. Select the employee whose salary you want to review.
  5. Click on + Add Salary.

  6. Select the PRT in Pay Rate Templates. This will automatically fill in the other pay fields and sync to payroll.

  7. Click on Save.

    These updates ensure a smoother payroll process by automating PRT syncing, with a manual update option available if needed.
