Equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) reporting aims to empower recruiters with the tools to collect anonymous, structured diversity data and analyse candidate trends — enabling inclusive hiring decisions.

Enable the EDI candidate survey

Enable the EDI survey for your candidates during recruitment

As you are recruiting for a role, you can choose to enable an EDI survey, to capture EDI trends within your candidates.

    1. Log in to Employment Hero.
    2. Click on Recruitment on the left-hand side navigation menu.
    3. Click on Recruitment.
    4. Click on the Add new job button.

    5. On the drop-down that will now appear, click Add a New Job.

    6. In the Add a new job pop-up box, select from the following:
      • Create from scratch
      • Create from job
      • Create from employee

    7. Click on Next.
    8. If creating from scratch, add the following details into your job description:
      • Job title
      • Industry standard job title (optional)
      • Industry
      • Country
      • Team (optional)
      • City
      • Job type
      • Experience
      • Workplace type
      • Employee working hours
      • Available positions (optional)
      • Job description
      • Pay rate
      • Recruitment email
      • Hide salary - tick to hide, or untick to display salary on job ad.
    9. Click on Create job.
    10. On the next screen under Screening Details, select your screening template or create your screening questions.
    11. Under EDI candidate survey, toggle on if you want to enable the candidate survey (the toggle will appear purple when toggled on).

Helpful Hint

Click on View Details if you would like to view the multiple-choice questions in the EDI survey.

  1. Click on Save.
  2. Continue with steps 3, 4 and 5 in this article to complete your job ad.

When a candidate applies for a job that has the EDI survey enabled, they will receive an email with a button prompting the candidate to complete the survey. The candidate selects their responses from the drop-down menu, then clicks Submit, sending the responses back to your Employment Hero account.

These surveys are optional for your candidates.

The admin is only able to view the data in aggregated and anonymised format.

Aggregate reporting

Access the EDI candidate report
  1. Log in to Employment Hero.
  2. Click on Reports on the left-hand side navigation menu.
  3. Scroll down to Candidate EDI Report.

  4. Filter by the following:
    • EDI metric
    • Date range
    • Jobs
    • Teams
    • More - source and country.
      Choose the candidate EDI report filters
  5. Here you will see your aggregated and anonymised EDI recruitment data. The data will show percentage of candidate demographics by stage, count of candidate demographics by stage and pass-through rates by demographic.

Helpful Hint

To protect candidate anonymity, EDI responses are only shown when there are 5 or more responses for a category in all of the report components: percentage of candidate demographics by stage, count of candidate demographics by stage and pass-through rates by demographic.
