Understanding the transition to Go1 Learn

Go1 Learn represents our evolution from MyGo1 to a more dynamic, intelligence-driven platform. This migration happens in phases:

  • Learner Experience: Learners transition to Go1 Learn first, gaining access to the new homepage and content discovery tools.
  • Admin Functions: Admin capabilities transition gradually throughout 2025, with both experiences accessible during the transition.
  • Your Customer Success Manager will guide you through each phase of this journey, ensuring a smooth transition for your organisation.

Frequently asked questions

Will I be able to use both MyGo1 and Go1 Learn during the transition?

Yes, admins and managers will have the ability to switch between MyGo1 and Go1 Learn until all the core functionality you need is available in Go1 Learn. This gives you time to become familiar with Go1 Learn while still accessing MyGo1 for functions that haven't yet been migrated.

Admins will see a banner at the top of the screen in both Go1 Learn and MyGo1 to switch between them. This is not shown to learners.

How will my users access Go1 Learn? Will login credentials change?
How will my users access Go1 Learn? Will login credentials change? User login credentials will remain the same. If your organisation uses SSO, this will continue to work seamlessly. Users can continue to visit your regular URL and will be redirected, until you choose to update any links in your platform or documentation to learn.go1.com for a smoother experience
Will there be downtime during the transition?
No. The transition is designed to be seamless with no service interruptions. Both platforms will run in parallel during the transition period, with user data synchronised between them.
Will my existing content library automatically transfer to Go1 Learn?
Yes, your entire content library will be available in Go1 Learn. No manual migration is needed for your existing content.
Will my custom/uploaded content be available in Go1 Learn?
Yes, the ability to upload and manage custom content will be available in Go1 Learn in late 2025. Until then, you can continue to manage custom content in MyGo1 while using Go1 Learn for other admin functions, and any content you upload in MyGo1 will be available for learners in Go1 Learn, excluding Events, which are not supported in Go1 Learn. Any customers who rely on their learners accessing Events will remain on MyGo1.
Can I create courses or awards in Go1 Learn?

Course creation will be available on Go1 Learn in late 2025. Until then, you can continue to use MyGo1 to do this, and courses and awards will be visible in Go1 Learn.

For the smoothest learner experience, to share links direct to courses and awards outside of Go1, copy the share link from inside Go1 Learn (not MyGo1).

Can I create playlists in Go1 Learn?
Yes! Admins can create playlists manually or using AI in Go1 Learn under Content (you may see Library instead of Content). With AI Playlists, you can quickly generate a playlist to meet your learner's unique objectives. Learn more here.
How will user management differ in Go1 Learn?
User management will be available in Go1 Learn in late 2025. Until then, you can continue to use MyGo1 for user management while leveraging Go1 Learn for other admin tasks.
When will I be able to manage groups in Go1 Learn?
Group management functionality will be available in Go1 Learn in late 2025. Until then, you can continue to use MyGo1 for group management while leveraging Go1 Learn for other admin tasks.
Will my existing user attributes and custom fields transfer to Go1 Learn?
Yes, all your user attributes and custom fields will ultimately be available in Go1 Learn. The transition will be seamless with no data loss.
How will I assign learning in Go1 Learn?
Learning assignment capabilities will be available in Go1 Learn in late 2025. Until this functionality is available, you can continue to use MyGo1 for learning assignments.
Will completion data and learning records transfer to Go1 Learn?
Yes, all historical completion data and learning records are available in Go1 Learn. No learning history will be lost during the migration. Today, your learners will need to download certificates and learning records directly. Admins do not yet have the ability to do this on a learner’s behalf in Go1 Learn.
How will reporting work in Go1 Learn?
Reporting in Go1 Learn will be available in late 2025. Until the new reporting functionality is available, you can continue to use MyGo1 for reporting needs.
Will custom dashboards be available in Go1 Learn?
Custom dashboards are being sunset as part of the migration to Go1 Learn. Instead, learners will experience a personalised, dynamic homepage that adapts to their learning patterns, preferences, and organisational context. Learn more here.
Can I customise the Go1 Learn interface with my organisation's branding?

Go1 Learn takes a different approach to branding, focusing on content rather than interface customisation. While the Go1 Learn interface maintains a consistent look and feel to maximise usability and engagement, your brand identity is prominently featured in:

  • The "Curated by [Your Organisation]" section.
  • Your organisation's name throughout the platform.
  • The content you create and curate.

This approach ensures learners benefit from an intuitive, engagement-focused interface while still recognising the learning experience as part of your organisation.

Can I customise the welcome message on the learner homepage?

The Go1 Learn homepage prioritises personalised content over static elements. Our research showed minimal engagement with custom welcome messages, while personalised recommendations significantly increased learning activity.

Instead of a static welcome message, Go1 Learn will offer Content Spotlight (available later in 2025) as a more effective way to highlight important content to your learners.

What if I find a critical workflow that doesn't work in Go1 Learn?

We want to hear about any workflow challenges you encounter. Please share these with your CSM, who will work with our product team to find solutions. In some cases, this might mean prioritising a feature enhancement or developing a workaround.

During the transition period, you can continue to use MyGo1 for any critical workflows not yet available in Go1 Learn.

How often will new features be added to Go1 Learn?
Go1 Learn follows a continuous development approach, with new features and enhancements released regularly. Major feature additions will be communicated through product announcements, and your CSM will keep you informed of relevant updates.
How can I provide feedback on Go1 Learn?
Your feedback is crucial to the ongoing development of Go1 Learn. You can always provide feedback directly to your account manager at Employment Hero and you and your learners will also see the option to provide feedback in Go1 Learn itself on a regular basis while migration is ongoing.
