The Probation Report provides clear visibility of probation information across your workforce. This dedicated report helps you track probation periods, monitor completion status, and identify upcoming probation reviews without the need for manual spreadsheet tracking. You can view probation start dates, end dates, lengths, and current status for employees across your organisation, helping you proactively manage probation timelines and support operational workflows.
Important
Personnel refers to both employees and contractors in this instance. The Probation Report is currently available for Global Teams users in the Global Teams Portal, with availability for all customers coming soon.
Getting started
- Click the Reports menu.
- Click the People tab.
- Click the Probation Report box.
Helpful Hint
For Global Teams users: The Probation Report is available under Global Teams PEO Services Business Reports in the People category.
- Once you access the Probation Report, you will see a table view displaying all employees with probation information.
- Use the available filters to refine your view:
- Employee name - Search for specific employees.
- Host org - Filter by host organisation (Global Teams users).
- PEO org - Filter by PEO organisation (Global Teams users).
- Employing entity - Filter by the legal employing entity.
- Status - Filter by probation status (In Progress, Ending Soon).

Probation end date - Filter by date range for when probation ends.
- Click Reset to clear all applied filters.
Helpful Hint
By default, the report shows only active employees who have probation start or end dates recorded. This focuses the view on relevant data and helps you quickly identify employees currently in or approaching the end of their probation period.
- Click on any column header to sort the data in ascending or descending order.
- Available columns include:
- Employee name
- Host org (Global Teams)
- PEO org (Global Teams)
- Employing entity
- Probation start
- Probation length
- Probation end
- Status
- To export the data, click the Export CSV button.
- The CSV file will include all visible fields and can be used for offline analysis or sharing with stakeholders.
Helpful Hint
The CSV export includes all currently filtered and visible data. Apply your desired filters before exporting to ensure you capture exactly the information you need.

The Probation Report displays status indicators to help you quickly identify where employees are in their probation period:
| Status | Description |
|---|---|
| In Progress | The employee is currently within their probation period. The probation end date has not yet been reached. |
| Ending Soon | The employee's probation period is ending within the next 7 days. This indicator helps you prepare for upcoming probation reviews and decisions. |
Important
Status indicators are calculated automatically based on the probation start and end dates recorded in the employee's profile. Ensure probation dates are kept up to date for accurate status reporting.

For Global Teams PEO Services users, the Probation Report provides additional organisation and entity information to help you manage probation across multiple clients:
- Multi-client visibility: View probation information for workers across all your client organisations in a single report.
- Organisation filtering: Use the Host org and PEO org filters to focus on specific client arrangements.
- Entity management: Filter by employing entity to ensure you're tracking probation for the correct legal entity.
- Compliance support: Export data to support Employer of Record obligations and client reporting requirements.
