How do I get access to the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) service in New Zealand?
EAP access is available only for organisations with either the Unlimited plan or the EAP add-on subscription for any other plan. If you would like to add this to your current subscription, please click here to get in touch with our Sales team, or read more about Clearhead EAP here.

How do I activate my Employee Assistance Program (EAP) service in New Zealand?
If you have the Unlimited plan or the EAP add-on subscription for any other plan, you can start using your EAP service with Clearhead. Follow the steps below:
- Go to https://myclearhead.typeform.com/employmenthero
- You will be required to complete the following information:
- Contact details for the owner of the plan (i.e. those eligible to call to request additional services and will be invited to use the management portal)
- What is their department?
- What is their role in the organisation?
- What is the business name?
- What is the code they would like to set for their unique website, i.e. xxxxx.myclearhead.com (if business name ACME, then acme.myclearhead.com will be their website and what they put in for this question is “acme”)
- How many employees are in the organisation?
- What is the industry?
- Where is the head office located?
- What region is the head office in?
- What state / province or territory is the head office in?
- What is the address of the head office?
- Do you have international offices? If so, what country(s) are your international offices located in? Do staff in these international locations need access to the platform?
- Please upload your logo.
- Are you comfortable with us using your logo for digital marketing?
- To ensure the best experience with Clearhead, what does success look like to you?
- Is there anything else you’d like us to know at this stage?
- Agreeing to Clearhead's terms and conditions.
- You will receive an email confirmation and Clearhead will then activate your EAP service.
How do I integrate my employee data with Clearhead for them to use the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) service in New Zealand?
When setting up Clearhead for the first time, one of the easiest ways to get started is by connecting to your Employment Hero platform to securely sync your employee list in just a few steps.
If your Employment Hero platform includes international staff (outside of New Zealand), connecting will sync all staff on your Employment Hero plan into Clearhead — even if they are not intended to access the service.
In this case, Clearhead will assume that you are offering Clearhead to all your employees and the Welcome to Clearhead email will be sent to all your employees.
Getting Started
Connect to Employment Hero
During onboarding, you’ll be prompted to connect to Employment Hero. Here’s how it works:
Log in to Employment Hero
A secure pop-up will appear asking you to log in to your Employment Hero account.
Follow the prompts to authorise access.
Select Your Company
Once logged in, you will be shown a dropdown to select your company name.
Click Authorise again to confirm.
This completes the sync and ensures your employee list is always up to date.
What next?
Once connected:
You will see a summary of your Clearhead plan with all the included features.
You’ll then be taken to your HR home screen, where you can begin inviting staff, viewing resources, and managing your organisation’s wellbeing tools.
If you need to update or disconnect the integration later, you can do this anytime from the Integrations section in your admin portal OR contact: contact@myclearhead.com.
Troubleshooting
If your staff did not receive any invite emails after being synced / added to the list of members, please whitelist our email domain: myclearhead.com, check with your IT team on how to do this or contact Clearhead for support contact@myclearhead.com.
