Upcoming change from Go1 to Go1 Learn

What is Go1 Learn?

Go1 Learn is the new AI-powered learning experience replacing the legacy Go1 user interface. It’s designed to make learning simpler, smarter, and more engaging, helping businesses like yours deliver meaningful development opportunities to their teams while reducing manual admin work.

Learners benefit from a more intuitive and personalised experience, while administrators gain stronger tools for curation, reporting, and skill insights.

What is changing and when?

From 28 November 2025, all users will automatically be directed to the new Go1 Learn experience when accessing Go1 via their Employment Hero account.

There’s no setup required. Your existing courses, assignments, and progress will remain available.

How can I test this out today?

You can explore Go1 Learn ahead of the migration:

Step-by-step guide to test out Go1 Learn today
  1. Log into Employment Hero and go to Learning > Learning Management.
  2. Click Assign Learning to open your Go1 Portal.
  3. In the top-right corner, click Switch to Go1 Learn to preview the new experience.

What is the impact on Learners?

The change will be seamless for learners, with no disruption to assigned training.

  • When learners click their assigned learning from within Employment Hero, they’ll still be taken directly to the course page.
  • The course page will have a refreshed look and feel, but all key actions, such as Start, Resume, and Enroll, remain the same.
  • Clicking ‘Explore’ will take learners to the new Go1 Learn homepage, featuring dynamic, AI-powered content recommendations.
  • Each learner will see a personalised view tailored to their role, skills, and interests, highlighting both assigned and recommended learning.

In short: Learners will enjoy a faster, more relevant experience that makes discovering and completing learning easier than ever.

What is the impact on Administrators?

With this change, administrators gain access to Go1 Learn’s new suite of intelligent tools, designed to reduce manual work and deliver stronger learning impact.

New capabilities in Go1 Learn

Go1 Learn introduces a suite of AI-powered features that make it easier to find, curate, and manage high-quality learning content:

  • Smarter search: Understands your intent and helps you quickly locate the right content.
  • Powerful curation tools: Build tailored programs based on specific learning goals or skill areas.
  • Content evaluation: Compare resources using quality signals to identify effective material.
  • Actionable insights: Make data-driven decisions using skill trends and industry benchmarks.
  • Content controls: Ensure learners only access training that aligns with your organisation’s goals.
Continuing use of the legacy Go1 experience

While Go1 Learn introduces a refreshed interface, some core administrative tasks will continue to be managed in the legacy Go1 platform until they are transitioned to Go1 Learn. These include:

  • Managing users
  • Managing learning groups
  • Assigning content
  • Reporting on engagement metrics

Will I lose access to any functionality?

As Go1 moves to a cleaner, more modern experience, a few older features are being phased out. Most core functions remain available, and your existing content, assignments, and reports won’t be affected.

What's changing
  • Events: You can still record external learning events, but event scheduling will be removed. Customers using this feature can continue until 31 December 2025.
  • Group Discussions: This feature is being retired due to low usage. Go1 is exploring future collaboration and gamification features instead.
  • Custom Branding & Email Templates: Admins will no longer be able to edit login branding or system email templates after 31 December 2025. A new, improved notification system is planned for 2026.
  • Manager User Creation: Managers will no longer be able to create new users, but admins will retain full user management access.
What this means for you

You’ll notice a cleaner, more focused admin experience while still retaining all essential tools to manage learning effectively.
