With 50% of employees reporting they’d stay longer at a company that recognised them, setting up Hero Points to celebrate key milestones such as birthdays and work anniversaries is one of the easiest ways you can increase loyalty and engagement.
Hero Points can be spent like real cash in the Employment Hero Work Store or via a Swag Spend account, and is available with all Australian Employment Hero subscriptions.

How to Prepare
- Determine whether you want to allocate Hero Points for work anniversaries, and/or birthdays, and decide the amount you wish to spend on each milestone.

Instructions
- Select Settings from the main menu.
- Then, select Reward Settings.
- Edit to switch on Birthdays and/or Work Anniversaries.
- Select the Hero Point value you would like employees to receive.
- Click Save.
Tip
The employees' date of birth and start date drives this Milestone feature, so ensure your employee data is accurate and up to date to ensure milestones appear at the correct time.
Next Steps
When an employee’s birthday or work anniversary rolls around, they'll receive an e-mail notification and the Hero Points will be sent straight to their account ready for spending! Don't forget to keep those Hero Points topped up to ensure that your employees receive their reward.
