Connecting your account to Indeed requires a quick verification step to ensure your job postings reach candidates successfully. This process confirms your identity and secures your integration. If you miss the initial email or it expires, you can manually trigger a new one directly from your dashboard without needing to contact support.
This article will show you how to manage the following:
- Complete the Indeed connection verification
- Resend verification from your settings
- Resend verification while posting a job
- Troubleshoot a pending connection
Complete the Indeed connection verification
After you submit the Indeed connection form, a confirmation screen provides immediate instructions on your next steps.
- Review the confirmation message that appears after you submit your connection details.
- Note the email address displayed in the message, as this is where your unique link was sent.
- Log in to that specific email inbox and locate the message from Indeed.
- Click the link within that email to finalize your connection.
- Return to the platform and click Got it! to close the confirmation window.
Helpful Hint
Your jobs will not appear on Indeed until this verification is complete. You can still refer to the setup guide located below the verification message if you need further assistance with your account.
Resend verification from your settings
If you cannot find the original verification email, you can trigger a new link from your main settings page.
- Log in to Employment Hero.
- Navigate to the Job Boards settings page.
- Locate the Indeed integration, which will show a Pending status.
- Click the Options menu (three dots).
- Select Resend verification email.
Success
A notification will confirm that a fresh verification link has been sent to your connected email address.
Resend verification while posting a job
You can fix connection issues directly from your current workflow without navigating away from your job draft.
- Go to the job posting screen for any active role.
- Locate the Indeed card in the job board list.
- Find the Resend button in the card footer next to the Pending badge.
- Click Resend to trigger a new email to your inbox.
Helpful Hint
If you need to update your login or account details, click the Pending button to open the configuration panel.
Troubleshoot a pending connection
If your status remains pending, use the following tips to resolve the issue.
- Confirm the recipient inbox: Hover your mouse over the Indeed card on the Job Boards page or job posting screen. A tooltip will show the exact email address awaiting verification.
- Wait for the cooldown: If you recently clicked resend, the button will be disabled for 5 minutes. A message will appear showing how much time remains before you can try again.
- Retry failed attempts: If a technical error occurs during a resend request, a notification will prompt you to try again.
