Overview
The Electronic Lodgement and Single Touch Payroll (STP) feature allows you to view the name of your software provider and their software ID, along with your Business Management Software (BMS) ID. You can also use this feature to nominate your standing authority if your organisation uses a TAX/BAS agent when making a lodgment submission to the ATO. You can also edit these details if the information changes and remove the granted authority if it is no longer relevant.

Getting started
The below premise will walk you through how to add a standing authority to your platform.
Important
The standing authority feature will only show on your platform if your organisation chose the TAX/BAS agent option in the ATO Settings feature.
- Log into your Employment Hero Payroll platform.
- Click the Business Settings menu.
- Click the Payroll Settings submenu.
- Click the ATO Settings button.
- Click the Electronic Lodgement and STP tab.
- Click the Add Standing Authority button.
- Complete the following fields
- Name/email.
- Date.
- Click the Save button.

The below premise will walk you through how to view your BMS and Software ID and how to change and/or clear your standing authority details.
- Log into your Employment Hero Payroll platform.
- Click the Business Settings menu.
- Click the Payroll Settings submenu.
- Click the ATO Settings button.
- Click the Electronic Lodgement and STP tab.

In the lodgement section, you will see the name of your software provider and their software ID .

- Log into your Employment Hero Payroll platform.
- Click the Business Settings menu.
- Click the Payroll Settings submenu.
- Click the ATO Settings button.
- Click the Electronic Lodgement and STP tab.
- Click the Change Standing Authority button.
- Make the required changes and click the Save button.

- Log into your Employment Hero Payroll platform.
- Click the Business Settings menu.
- Click the Payroll Settings submenu.
- Click the ATO Settings button.
- Click the Electronic Lodgement and STP tab.
- Click the Clear Standing Authority button.
- Click the Ok button.

So you have now managed your standing authority and you are now wondering, what next can I do. There are two recommendations I would make on this front and they are:

- Payroll Platform: Setup ABA Payment Files This feature allows you to set up your organisation's ABA payment file details, such as the BSB number, account name and number, and financial institution code.
