Explanation

This error occurs when an employee file in Xero does not have an ordinary earnings rate assigned to their pay template. When Employment Hero encounters this issue, it will not synchronise the affected employee file over to your Xero platform.

Solution

Adding an ordinary earnings rate to the employee's pay template within their Xero employee file and then re-syncing the two platforms will resolve this issue.

Resolving this error
  1. Log in to your Xero platform.
  2. Click on the Payroll button.
  3. Click the Employees button.

  4. Click on the employee that needs an ordinary earnings line added .
  5. Click the Pay Template tab.
  6. Click the Add Earnings Line button.

  7. Complete the following fields:
    • Earnings rate.
    • Calculation type:
      • Use earnings rate.
      • Enter rate.
      • Salary.
  8. Click the Ok button.

  9. Complete the required Earnings Rate fields.
  10. Click the Save button.

  11. Log in to your Employment Hero platform.
  12. Click the Settings menu.
  13. Click the Payroll Integration Issues submenu.
  14. Click the Employee tab.
  15. Click the Action button.
  16. Click the Re-Sync button
