How do I post a job ad on Indeed?

You can post a job to Indeed as part of creating and posting a job within the Recruitment module, or by editing the job and going to the job adverts tab at any time. Before you can start posting your job, you will need to connect to Indeed.
Connect to Indeed
You can do this via the job boards tab in the recruitment module. Click on the Indeed tile and enter your business details, including your business email and website. We will send a verification email, once you have received it; click on the link to verify your account. Until you have successfully verified your account, your connection to Indeed will remain in pending status.
Disposition Data
As part of connecting to Indeed, you will need to confirm your opt-in to sharing disposition data with Indeed on your behalf. Employment Hero will only share disposition data with Indeed for candidates that have applied to your job(s) via Indeed, not from any other platform or job board.
Disposition data refers to hiring status updates you make to Indeed candidates within your recruitment module. So, for example, if you move Jane Johnson from new to interview, we will pass that information along to Indeed, along with a timestamp for when it happened. We do not share any personal data - this information will be sent in an anonymised and de-identified data.
What are the benefits?
Sharing disposition data, hiring signals, with Indeed means you will get better quality applicants for your jobs; Indeed aggregate and analyse this data to improve the targeting of their job ads and the application experience, so you get better candidates, and candidates can see how well their skills match, or do not match, what you’ havedescribed in your job ad. It also means you will get a responsive employer badge in Indeed, so potential candidates know their application isn’t just going to be flung into the void.
Can I rescind my permission to share disposition data?
Yes, you can, at any time, by going into ‘edit’ the Indeed tile on your job boards page and removing the check from the checkbox. The downside of doing this is that you will lose your ‘responsive employer’ flag, plus the data shows that jobs with disposition data enabled perform better than those from employers that have opted out.
Post a job to Indeed
By establishing your connection to Indeed, it means all jobs you post to your careers page will automatically be sent to Indeed. They will be sent to Indeed as organic, free job posts by default, and you will be able to sponsor these job postings and boost their profile by logging into your account at employers.indeed.com.
Trouble-shooting
Why isn’t my job showing?
Certain types of organisations, for example, staffing and recruitment agencies, are not eligible for organic job postings on Indeed, meaning these jobs will be hidden unless they are sponsored.
Why can I not post my job ads on Indeed?
There are several common reasons an Indeed post may not be visible. For us to determine the specific reason in your case, can you please cross-check each of the below, and make sure that:
- The source name you entered when connecting to Indeed must match the source or company name you have used previously when posting to Indeed.
- You are a recruitment or staffing agency, and you have not logged into your Indeed account and sponsored your job - Indeed will not publish free/organic jobs belonging to recruitment or staffing agencies.
