Resetting my password, Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) or unlocking my account via the HR platform

This article provides you with all the information you need to reset or update your password, unlock your account or reset your Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) details on our HR web platform. It is intended for users who have been unable to access their Employment Hero account or have had their 2FA settings changed.

Important

If you have not received your reset password email, check that you have entered the correct email address associated with your Employment Hero account. You need to use the email address that you used to sign up for your Employment Hero account to receive your reset password email link.

Reset your password

Helpful Hint

If you have lost your email invitation to access the HR platform, your employer can resend your invite. Please make sure to always use the most recent reset password link sent to your email, as the reset password link is a one-time link.

  1. Go to your HR platform sign in page ‌and click the Login button.
  2. Enter your email address and click Next.
  3. Click the Forgot Password button.
  4. Click the Request Link button and follow the on screen instructions.

    Warning

    The reset password email is a one-time link that lasts for 72 hours. If you have not entered the email address associated with your account, you will not receive the reset password link. Make sure you enter the correct email address.

Reset your two-factor authentication
  1. Go to your HR platform sign in page ‌and click the Login button.
  2. Click the Request to Reset button.

    Helpful Hint

    An email will be sent to the account email linked to your profile.

  3. Click the Reset 2-Factor Authentication button in the email you receive from no-reply@employmenthero.com.

    Helpful Hint

    The link is only valid for 15 minutes, after which you will need to sign in again.

  4. Enter the answer to your security questions.
  5. Click the Reset button.

Update your password
  1. Log into the HR platform.
  2. Click the User drop-down.
  3. Click on the Account Settings button.
  4. Complete the following fields:
    • Current password.
    • New password.
    • Confirm new password.

    Helpful Hint

    Employment Hero uses a password strength meter to help individuals select their passwords. To save a password, we suggest you use:

    • At least eight characters.
    • Have at least one uppercase (A-Z) and lowercase character.
    • Have at least one numeric character.
    • Have at least one special character.
    • Add a combination of capital letters.
    • Avoid dictionary words or a combination of words.
  5. Click the Submit button.

Unlock your account

Important

After five incorrect password attempts, the HR platform will lock your account and automatically send you an email to your linked email account to unlock your HR platform account.

  1. Click the Unlock Account button in the email you received from no-reply@employmenthero.com.

Further information

Password reset link has expired
If the password reset link has expired, it is because either:
  • You have previously clicked the password rest link.
  • You have logged into Employment Hero in another tab or window.
  • You clicked on a link that was not the latest password reset link.

You will need to click on Reset Password on the login page again to receive another link. 

I have not received my password reset
If you have not entered the email address associated with your account, you will not receive the reset password link. Make sure you enter the correct email address. If you believe that you have entered the correct email address, however, are still not receiving your reset password link, please contact your organisation's administrator who will be able to tell you the correct email address to use.
Is multi-factor authentication (MFA) available?
No. At this stage, multi-factor authentication is not available.
