Analyze candidate conversion rates by source
The updated Candidate Source report includes a specific column to help you understand the percentage of candidates from each source who were eventually hired.
- Log in to Employment Hero.
- Click the Reports icon on the left-hand menu.
- Select the Recruitment option.
- Click on the Candidate Source report.
- Locate the Conversion Rate column in the data table.
Helpful Hint
Hover your mouse over the Conversion Rate column header to see a brief explanation: "Percentage of all candidates from this source who were hired". The rate is displayed to one decimal place, such as 12.5%.
Rank sourcing channels by performance
You can instantly reorder your sourcing data to see which channels are your most efficient or which ones require further investment.
- Open the Candidate Source report.
- Click the Conversion Rate column header to sort the table from highest to lowest.
- Observe the sort arrow next to the header to identify the direction.
- Click the header again to reverse the sort order from lowest to highest.
Helpful Hint
Sources with no recorded candidates will show a dash symbol rather than a number and will always appear at the bottom of the list when sorting.
Visualize top performing recruitment sources
The report includes a visual summary that ranks your top 10 sourcing channels by their hire conversion rate.
- Navigate to the Candidate Source report page.
- Locate the chart titled Hire Conversion Rate by Source.
- Review the vertical bars, which represent each source's conversion rate arranged from highest to lowest.
- Adjust report filters such as date range, team, country, or job to see the chart update in real time.
Important
Proactive sourcing channels like Talent Pool, Manual Entry, Cold Outreach, and SmartMatch are included in these calculations, as the rate is based on total candidates recorded.
Export recruitment source data
When you need to share these insights with stakeholders, you can export the data table including the new metrics.
- Ensure your desired filters are applied to the Candidate Source report.
- Click the Export button.
- Select either CSV or PDF format.
The exported file will include the Conversion Rate column alongside the standard candidate and hire counts.
