Keeping track of learning progress — what's completed, what's overdue, and what to focus on next — can mean a lot of manual checking across the platform. Hero AI makes this faster by letting you ask plain-language questions about learning and getting instant, scoped answers. Employees can ask about their own progress, Managers can ask about their team members, and Admins and Learning Administrators can query any employee in the organisation. Every response reflects only what you are already permitted to see on the platform.
Before you start, make sure your organisation has the Learning (LMS) add-on set up and that Hero AI learning tools are enabled for your organisation.

Ask Hero AI about your own learning progress
Any employee with access to Learning can ask Hero AI about their own courses — including what's in progress, what's overdue, and what to prioritise next.
- Log in to Employment Hero.
- From the Employment Hero dashboard, click the Hero AI chat icon to open the chat panel.
- Type your question in plain language. For example:
- "What courses do I have overdue?"
- "What learning should I focus on next?"
- "Show me my learning progress."
- Hero AI will return a response based on your own learning data. Review the results directly in the chat panel.
Ask Hero AI about an employee's learning progress
Managers can ask Hero AI about a specific employee's learning progress, making it easier to prepare for coaching conversations without navigating each person's profile individually. You will only be able to view the learning progress of employees that you manage directly.
- Log in to Employment Hero.
- From the Employment Hero dashboard, click the Hero AI chat icon to open the chat panel.
- Type your question, naming the employee you want to ask about. For example:
- "What courses does [team member name] have overdue?"
- "Show me [team member name]'s learning progress."
- "What should [team member name] focus on next?"
- Hero AI will return learning information for that employee. Review the results in the chat panel.
Ask Hero AI about any employee's learning progress (Admin and Learning Administrator)
Admins and Learning Administrators can query learning progress for any employee across the organisation, giving a full view of training status without navigating individual profiles.
- Log in to Employment Hero.
- From the Employment Hero dashboard, click the Hero AI chat icon to open the chat panel.
- Type your question, specifying the employee you want to look up. For example:
- "What courses does [employee name] have overdue?"
- "Show me [employee name]'s learning progress."
- "Which employees in the organisation have overdue training?"
- Hero AI will return the relevant learning data for the employee or employees you asked about. Review the results in the chat panel.
Further information
You can ask Hero AI about:
- Courses that are in progress, completed, or overdue
- What learning to prioritise next
- A specific team member's or employee's learning status (subject to your access level)
Hero AI will only return information you are already permitted to see on the platform — it does not surface data beyond your existing access.
If more than one person in your organisation shares a similar name, try including additional details in your question — such as the employee's full name or team — to help Hero AI identify the right person.
Hero AI respects the same access rules as the rest of the platform. If you cannot view an employee's learning profile directly, Hero AI will not return their data either. Check with your Admin if you believe your access level needs to be updated.
