Explanation

The warning relates to the field named 'Is Approved Working Holiday Maker'.

The warning means you selected an incorrect country for this field. If you have not set up this information correctly, the platform will display the above warning when you go to submit an STP (Single Touch Payment) lodgement.

Solution to the warning

Solution

You will need to carry out the following steps:

  1. Go to the Employee Tax Details feature (which you can learn how to visit at this article) and unselect the Is Approved Working Holiday Maker tick box.
     
    • You will now be asked to select a date for this change.
       
  2. Select a date for this change by choosing the Employee's Start Date option.
  3. Click Save.
     
    • You will now have cleared the previous choice (the one you originally had selected on your current Employee Tax Details feature).
       
  4. With the previous choice cleared, now reselect the Is Approved Working Holiday Maker tick box.
     
    • You will now see a Visa Country option appear.
       
  5. Using the Visa Country option, select the correct country for the relevant employee.
  6. Click Save.
     
    • You now need to return to the STP Lodgement page.
       
  7. Having reaccessed the STP Lodgement page, click the Refresh Data button (you can learn how to access that button at this Payroll classic FAQ article).


    Note: Now you have ensured the data is refreshed, the problem flagged by the 'Country code is invalid STP lodgement' warning should be resolved.
