Getting started with Leave

With the Leave function, your organisation has a centralised platform to track and manage leave requests. This lets you save time and reduce human error in leave calculations.

Set your organisation up to manage leave with Employment Hero.

  1. To get started, you can set up your organisation’s leave policies. 
    • By default, the platform comes pre-loaded with all public holidays and statutory leave. 
  2. Optionally, you can also enable the company-wide leave calendar.
  3. Your Employment Hero admin can then invite your employees to Employment Hero. 

Once your employees log into the platform, they can click on the Time menu to start submitting leave requests. Alternatively, they can download EH Work for iOS or Android to submit leave requests via mobile.

Similarly, managers can access the Time menu or use the EH Work app to approve or decline leave requests.

Rostering:  Optimise scheduling with easy, quick rostering

Getting started with Rostering

The Rostering function allows you to plan, create, and adjust shift rosters with maximum visibility of staff availability. This ensures your business is properly staffed for optimal productivity and cost efficiency.

Set your organisation up to manage rostering with Employment Hero.

  1. Rostering Management lets you create rosters and manage shifts in one centralised function.
    • You can assign shifts to employees based on selected criteria such as roles, certifications etc.
    • The platform will automatically let you know if employees have been scheduled correctly based on their availability.
  2. You can also create a roster budget based on hours or wages.
  3. Optionally, you can enable automatic timesheet approval for timesheets that match the roster’s work type, location, date, start and end times, and breaks.

Once a shift has been published, employees are notified via EH Work. From there, they can accept, decline, or swap shifts. You can also enable shift bidding for even greater flexibility.

Timesheets and Time & Attendance: Accurate time tracking and payroll integration

Getting started with Timesheets and Time & Attendance

The Timesheets function also includes time & attendance for employee time tracking. Timesheets are also connected to payroll for automated, accurate pay processing.

Set your organisation up to manage timesheets and time & attendance with Employment Hero.

  1. Enable time and attendance organisation-wide. 
    • You can also enable photo and geo-location tracking if needed.
  2. Once you enable time and attendance, each clock-in event will automatically create a timesheet for the employee. 
  3. If needed, you can also create a roster versus timesheet report.

Employees can now use the EH Work mobile app to clock in and out, as well as log breaks. You can view their attendance records as timesheets. Their timesheets will also automatically sync with payroll software.
